Light Blue Kintsugi Bowl

This blue bowl made in Japan was broken and repaired using kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold. The gold seams over the vibrant periwinkle glaze creates a striking, one-of-a-kind piece.

I repair the bowl by hand in my Brooklyn studio, tracing every crack with a brass metal blend that creates a finish nearly identical to real gold. A meaningful gift for moments words can’t capture; a reminder of the beauty in imperfection and our ability to heal and transform.
